New Los Angeles Lakers coach Mike Brown is planning to add former University of Utah coach Jim Boylen to his coaching staff and hire 76ers development coach Quin Snyder to serve with the Lakers in the same capacity, a source close to the negotiations said Monday.

cott Roth, who also was a candidate for a spot on the Lakers' bench, is expected to stay in Toronto and join Dwane Casey's Raptors. Toronto, officially made Casey its new coach on Tuesday.

Chuck Person also has been offered a chance to remain with the Lakers, a source said. If everything goes according to plan, Brown's staff on the bench would be: former Pistons coach John Kuester, Boylen and Person. Former Moscow CSKA coach Ettore Messina and Snyder would be behind the bench in advisory roles.
