<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Lakers and point guard Sun Yue have agreed to terms on a two-year deal, according to The Los Angeles Daily News. The team hopes to officially sign Yue within the next few days. Yue is known as the Chinese version of Magic Johnson because of his playmaking abilities, and will face new teammate Kobe Bryant when China plays the United States on Sunday.</div> http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives..._guard_sun_yue/ Not much to say here. First of all, I think this guy sucks. I don't think he's gonna make it in this league, but hey, I've been proven wrong before. I guess a 6'9 point guard is pretty interesting, hopefully he'll develop into a player in the future because he does have potential (how many times do you see a 6'9 player who can play point). Having him as a 15th man or something wouldn't hurt I guess, I'm just not expecting much Also, hopefully the contract isn't guaranteed, or at least hopefully the second year is a team option or something USA plays China on Sunday right? Should be our first glimpse at Sun Yue, if he will even plays
Should be interesting, biggest word that can mark him is potential. I can understand why Mitch decided to jump on this, a 6'9" PG is interesting and if all he needs it the weight room and some training on his fundamentals and overall skills to make him a better player, why not you know? I'm excited and hope he does well, I'm chinese and rarely get to see chinese players play, except for when Yi or Yao play on TNT or against us. I'm stoked and will be biased
idk how good this kid could be i havent really seen him play but if hes getting compared to magic he must be pretty good but i think its gonna take him 3-5 years to adapt to the NBA and gain weight and muscle but i hope he lives up to his potential
sun yue has played very well in this game vs. usa. kobe has been playing on him and sun ha held his own. has some strength hidden in that skiny frame so dont sell him short guys. not a great jumpshooter, but good from outside when it counts. great transition passing ala jason kidd, good speed, very flexible.
Plays some underrated help D as well, he never gives up on those fastbreak breakaways, has a few good block shots...hasn't gotten it stolen much IF at all (my memory blows). Very good performance by Sun. I'm have two chinese national team jerseys mailed to me from China. WOOT!

The highlight of the day for me was his block on Dwight. Wow! Glad he's a Laker.
