<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>6th January, 2007 - 11:54 amBergen Record - Reports indicate that Penny Hardaway wil sign a 10-day contract with the Seattle SuperSonics , but the Lakers are also rumored to be interested and could sign him first. [READ]</div>http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/440...lso_want_penny/I am all for it. I wanted the Lakers to sign him over the summer and if we can get him for cheap...why not. He could be another Aaron Mckie but it couldn't hurt to have another veteran on the team...
I think it would be best if he went to Seattle because of the injury to Rashard Lewis. He could lock up some big minutes in Seattle. I don't see him playing along side Kobe and co. If he wants to win a championship, he should go to like Dalls. He will never win a chip in LA or SEA. What happened to Aaron McKie by the way. I have only seen him play in a Laker uni twice since he got signed like 2 years ago.
If he could go back to his pre-injury days that would be awesome, but if he's another McKie I don't know... he would be good as a presence but I don't know about anything else.

Would be great if he came but with all the injuries hes had in the past I'm not sure if he'll be the same player he was the man was amazing in his early days in Orlando.
I would rather him be in a lakers uniform than...ugh...seattle. And he would probably play for the lakers casuse a)when they play Miami, they can laugh at Shaq(he and Kobe) b)he will have the opputunity to play the same position for the same team his idol did...Magic Johnson.
actually a lotve teams would, sorry he didnt play well for the sorry as knicks...that team tends to make players worse. He is atleast a veteran leader who can bring versitility.
<span style="font-family:Comic Sans MS">I don't really see what the point is of signing Penny Hardaway. Don't get me wrong, I love the player, but he's not the player any more. He has never been the same since Shaq left Orlando for Los Angeles. Overall, even if Penny does join the Lakers' team, I don't see him getting much playtime.</span>

Would just be cool to see him in a Lakers uni none the less.</div>Yeah, having Kobe and Penny in the same backcourt for even just a few minutes against a team with Shaq in the lineup would be very fun to watch.
