    Jackson Doesn't Understand Playoff Rule
Phil Jackson didn't think the league went far enough Tuesday in announcing that teams could carry 13 players on their playoff roster instead of the traditional 12. ... "I don't see why they don't have the 15," he said. "I don't understand why you have 15 all season long and in the playoffs you have 13. That doesn't make any sense. If you're going to have a rule for the regular season, you might as well have it for the playoffs." -- Los Angeles Times

    Mihm Eager To Return
A month after suffering a potential season-ending severe ankle sprain, Lakers center Chris Mihm hopes to get back on the practice court today and could return in the coming week. "I'm hoping to try to catch a couple games here before the playoffs come," Mihm said. -- Los Angeles Daily News

    Lakers To Own D-League Team
The Lakers are on the verge of becoming the first NBA franchise to own a team in the NBA Development League, with the possibility that minor league games could precede some Laker home games next season at Staples Center. Ownership would let the Lakers control who coaches and who plays on their minor league team. ... The Lakers have received tentative approval from the NBA Board of Governors, D-League President Phil Evans said Tuesday. -- Los Angeles Times
