<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">MEMPHIS, Tenn. - With Chris Mihm sitting out Sunday night's game because of a sprained right ankle, the Lakers' starting center was decided by ... the Memphis Grizzlies public address announcer? "However they announce it," interim coach Frank Hamblen said, "that's the center." As it turned out, Hamblen had no need to worry. Everyone got a chance to play center as part of Sunday's follies. By the end of the first quarter, the Lakers had tried Brian Grant, Slava Medvedenko, Brian Cook and Devean George at the position. Nothing worked, as Lorenzen Wright piled up 10 points and the Grizzlies led 32-14 after the opening 12 minutes. The Lakers were in such dire need of big men, they flew Cook in for the game and activated him from the injured list. Then they watched as Grant, Medvedenko and Cook each picked up two fouls in the first quarter while trying to get anything going inside. Mihm suffered the ankle sprain in Saturday's game against San Antonio. He said he hoped to be back Tuesday night against Phoenix but Hamblen said it would be tough for Mihm to play again on this trip. "We've just been staying on top of it, trying to keep the swelling down," Mihm said. "We've done a good job of that. It's real tender today. I'm hoping if it keeps progressing, maybe I can be out on the floor Tuesday in Phoenix. But time will tell."</div> Source
