Overall, not a great game for the mavs. The lakers looked sharp, the mavs looked weak and powerless. The uglyness: Free throw shooting was terrible. Nash looked frustrated and out of place Finley looked like hes a scrub off the bench Dirk was missing wide open threes. Lakers were able to penetrate with ease. The positives. Jamison and Walker looked great. Dirk was stong on the boards. Fortson looked pretty good at the 5, not too good, but considering he was guarding shaq. I'll take it. Walker was on fire from beyond the arc and didn't force any threes. He looked very willing to pass first. Thats all I can say for right now. The lakers look unstoppable and Kobe isn't even in the lineup. But Malone and Payton are both 40 and 35 respectively, and I do not think they can keep this up all season, Also the mavs havent gelled yet, Dirk hasent found his three and FInley was looking like he was willing to drive. Not a huge dissapointment, but work does need to be done. Hopefully the golden state game tonight does not turn into a disaster with nick the quick going off on us.
it was pretty harsh, but dirk still managed to play well and score even without his three ball dropping this team really needs a leader, i hear a lot about finley but i don't think he's it
