The Lakers are no longer interested in retaining Ramon Sessions, who was seeking a multi-year deal after opting out of the final $4.55 million of his contract to become an unrestricted free agent. Sessions was acquired last March at the trade deadline and averaged 12.7 points and 6.2 assists in the regular season. Sessions struggled in the playoffs, however, averaging 6.8 points on 35.3 percent shooting in the Lakers’ Western Conference semifinal loss to the Thunder.
