<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">EL SEGUNDO, Calif. ? The Los Angeles D-Fenders of the NBA Development League have been reassigned guard Jordan Farmar for the third time this season from their NBA affiliate, the Los Angeles Lakers.

Farmar, 6-2, 180, has played in 68 games this season for the Lakers and has averaged 4.5 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game. He was selected by the Lakers with the 26th pick in the first round of the 2006 NBA Draft.

Farmar is averaging 19.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 7.0 assists, and 36.8 minutes in two previous games with the D-Fenders. At the conclusion of both of his NBA Development League games, Farmar was recalled by the Los Angeles Lakers.

Farmar, who became the 24th NBA player assigned to a D-League affiliate this season on March 31, was reassigned to the D-Fenders April 2 after becoming the first player in league history to see action in same-day D-League and NBA games on April 1. Players in their first or second NBA seasons can be assigned to the NBA Development League up to three times in one season.

?It is always great to have Jordan with us,? said D-Fenders Head Coach Dan Panaggio. ?He is a very energetic and high quality player who adds a lot to our line-up.?

Farmar will wear jersey #11 while the D-Fenders host the Anaheim Arsenal this afternoon at STAPLES Center, before the Lakers game with a 3:30pm tip-off. As part of NBA Nights presented by adidas, both teams will be wearing special jerseys of their NBA affiliate teams. The D-Fenders will be in Los Angeles Lakers jerseys and the Arsenal will be in Los Angeles Clippers jerseys.

Today?s game will also be the D-Fenders Fan Appreciation Day and all fans in attendance will receive a D-Fenders cap while supplies last. There will be a special on-court presentation during the third quarter break and NBA star A.C. Green will be in attendance. </div>

You understand why they keep sending him down right?

He's not a wasted pick by any means. The team just wants to get Farmar extended minutes and practice time on the court.

It keeps Farmar sharp, conditioned, and helps him with his confidence.

So far he's responded positively to it. Farmar is a gym rat, he just loves playing the game.
