Really exciting game but we didnt get the W. Coming down from 16 and taking the lead i tought we had this one but we coulndt close it out.

Very dissapointing i dont know if I should be mad or happy.

I found myself screaming all game long at the Lakers. They played a terrible game in the first three quarters. They had 17 turnovers by halftime, and they kept giving the Rockets open looks from behind the arc. Odom couldn't buy a bucket, Mihm got into foul trouble, and for some reason the Lakers felt they had to double team Mutombo in the post.

Then the 4th quarter came around and Lamar Odom took over the game for the Lakers. They came back from a 16 point defecit and took a 1 point league just under 2 minutes left in the game. I thought the Lakers were going to steal this win and start off their road trip on a positive note. The Rockets came back with Yao in the clutch, and Brian Cook missed a wide open 3pt shoot, set up by Odom.

You have to give Van Gundy credit for making a defensive adjustment and putting T-Mac on Odom in the final Laker possession. Odom couldn't take him off the dribble and when the double team came he was forced to pass it out to Cook. The Lakers had the right play and the 2nd option, but they simply didn't execute. I couldn't believe Walton wasn't able to control the offensive rebound to hit the game winner. It was another tough loss for the Lakers. They've now lost 8 games by 6 or less points.

At least the Clippers and TWolves lost today, so the Lakers still remain as a top 8 team. And the Lakers have Atlanta up next.

Its makes me feel good to see the Lakers are not quitting. I wish we had the W but Im happy with the 4th quarter of this game.

i am not a Lakers fan, i could care less about them...

but i have to say, that team showed a ton of heart today, i was very impressed. the team will be very good when George and Bryant get back, and very deep too when you have Jumaine Jones, Brian Cook and Luke Walton playin that well off the bench.

What an effort by the Lakers. To bad Yao Ming came up clutch. Still though to come back from a 17 point defecit in the 4th without your star is something big ya dig.

Walton should have caught the miss and put the ball back in the hoop
