I was just about to post the preview when it said there was a fatal error and my entire preview was wiped out. I'm too busy to write it over again. I believe that the Rockets will put up a big fight and build on their success against the Lakers this season. It looks lopsided but I believe the Rockets can and will defeat the Lakers in a nailbiter. Rockets 99 Lakers 95 nba.com preview lll rockets.com preview
I have to go against the Rockets here. LA has lost two straight games to us and they are without a doubt a more talented team. That being said, I think the Rockets are one of the teams that plays their best against the Lakers. I know Shaq will come to play tonight and if he can dominate they will win. Tonight's game will be decided on who's big man is a bigger influence on the game. I am picking the Lakers here in a close game. 92-89
This is going to be a real close one I can fell it. The Rockets can win this one if they get an early lead and keep it. Yao needs to get those rebounds on offense and defense that way they can make the lead bugger and bigger. Oh and Yao needs to watch the fouls. I'll say Rockets by 2
The Lakers always play miserably during back-to-back games especially on the road. However, I think Shaq would want to really take it to Yao after the last meeting when Yao just outplayed him. Lakers by 6.
Yup. And I get to see this game live! It's a once-in-a-month spectacle for a Rockets fan living in Toronto.
Wow the Rox kind of threw that game away. Except for Jim Jackson, the bench was pretty subpar. Mobley lost his starting position right? Because that guy was awful. Maybe its because he fell on his butt earlier.
Bad loss for us. Mobley had a clear look at the basket but his shot just went in and out. Yao Ming had a tremendous 33-point game but badly missed a potential game-winner. We were leading by 10 at the half but failed to close the Lakers out.
Yao should have been fed more down the stretch of the game, instead of Mobley and Francis trying to take the bulk of the shots from the backcourt. The game got real sloppy during the final minutes, no better way than to work the ball through Yao, so he could set up something. But no, they wanted to be the man, and they payed for it. Clutch shot by Kobe, good 1st half performance by the Rockets, just slipped away from them in the 4th.
Am i just being biased by always wondering why their are either wrong calls or no calls being called to favor the Lakers? Or do the refs do this many times to other teams besides the Lakers? I don't know if its just me complaining because I hate the Lakers.
