http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/421...o_(jr)_pinnock/<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>6th September, 2006 - 5:57 pma - Danilo (J.R.) Pinnock, the 58th pick in the NBA draft earlier this summer, has signed a contract with the Lakers. Pinnock, a 6-foot-5 guard who entered the draft following his junior year at George Washington, was taken by the Mavericks before being traded to the Lakers for a 2007 second-round draft choice. Pinnock averaged 14.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.5 steals for George Washington last season. He then played for the Lakers in the Summer Pro League and averaged 10.6 points and 2.3 assists in 24.5 minutes.</div> :beerchug: I'm glad they chose Pinnock over Green. He played great in the summer league and has so much potential. What do you guys think?

Too bad we no longer have Jerry West to evaluate the talent.

He actually seems like a bargain for a 58th pick, check out his college stats, pretty solid.

Pinnock might actually give a boost of the bench, judging from his stats. He averaged 2.5 steals as a college player and that can be a key of the bench.

I think he could he some minutes this year. Hes a steal for the 58th pick in the draft. Lakers won that deal with Dallas no doubt. Could turn out to be a 6th man in a couple of years or even better like a Ginobli. You never know.....
