Farmar, the 26th overall pick in last week's draft, passed up his final two years of eligibility at UCLA. The 6-foot-2 guard started all 66 games he played over two seasons for the Bruins, averaging 13.5 points and 5.2 assists. The 19-year-old Farmar was a first-team All Pac-10 performer as a sophomore last season and helped UCLA advance to the NCAA championship game, where the Bruins lost to Florida. </div> Welcome to the Lakers, Farmer. http://www.latimes.com/sports/basketball/n...ack=1&cset=true
It's Farmar with an a, not Farmer. This is one of the best moves the Lakers have made in a while. I expect Farmar to contribute off the bench right away. It is possible Farmar will get some starting assignments, espeically if he can outplay Smush Parker, which is probably a given with the athleticsim and smarts Farmar has.
