http://www.nba.com/transactions/movement2003_index.html Oh boy. Hopefully this cat is just camp fodder. He played with a team in the IBA in a city near mine (Fargo-Morhead) Not HORRIBLLY bad stats, but could do a lot better. I don't know why we picked this dude up. Hopefully he is a good player! He is versitale; here is his scouting report: http://www.edgesportsintl.com/Ime.htm
Los Angeles Lakers: The Lakers signed free agent guard-forward Ime Udoka, who was playing in the United States Basketball League. Udoka averaged 19.4 points and 9.2 rebounds in 15 USBL games. Before his USBL stint, the 6-foot-6 Udoka played for the National Basketball Developmental League's Charleston Lowgators. In 50 games with the Lowgators, Udoka averaged 10.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists.

I think the lakers are just seeing what unknow players might be very good or not. Or maybe they just want to waste there money.
Juz trying to look for the diamond in the dirt, look for maybe sum future stars to replace the current (old) stars (e.g. Shaq, Mailman and Glove)..
The Lakers have also signed SPL player Koko Archibong (what a name!) and Mitch Kupchack in the LA Times says he plans on adding 2-3 more players for training camp..
this guy wont make the final cut. they got him for preseason. if he does really good then which i doubt then he might stay. Just someone for the starters to wipe the floor wit in scrimmage
