Lamar Odom. What's this new found love he has for shooting threes. He's not good at that. I don't ever remember him being good at that. And of course, he still has his fadeaway layups....I'm finding it hard to cheer for him, just not sure what he brings to the table. Kwame Brown. Can't catch. Can't shoot. Can't make free throws. And he's a bit foul prone. Let's move him if at all possible by the trade deadline. And his number is just ugly 54. Put his old number 5. I know no one is wearing it. Lack of playing time for Bynum. Granted we haven't really had too many situations for Bynum to get some good run in but I'd like to see firsthand what the kid can do. Slava and McKie are not seeing the floor. I will say that I find it hard to cheer for Phil after some of the things I've read about him. We want caron back now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree, there needs to be some changes to the rotation to shake things up. Chris Mihm and Kwame are showing up 1 time in 5 games, and their inconsistent play is putting too, much pressure on everyone else. The minute either gets in foul trouble it forces George to come in and Lamar Odom to play out of position at PF. I thought Cook would be the first big off the bench, but now I remember why I can't stand him. He's a bonehead on the court and is afraid to play inside. The comparisons to Horace Grant need to stop immediately. Slava isn't getting any playing time because he's another bonehead on the roster. He has no business being on any roster in the NBA and I curse Mitch for extending him. Aside from Odom, none of the big men can pass the ball. What makes the Tri work is ball movement, but it always seems to die when Kwame or Mihm get their hands on the ball. They just stand there waiting to get stripped by the defense or pass it out when the shot clock winds down to 4 seconds. It's painful to watch. The Lakers need to get a big man who can pass, I'm still hoping this team can sign Laettner or Gugliotta. Players with a high bball IQ who understand the fundamentals and bring some intangibles this team is lacking. Also I'm really curious why Sasha is getting this much PT. He's a piss poor defender ... STILL, and he's shooting 26.7% from the field. He's a liability on defense everytime down the court, and if he can't make wide open looks, he's a liability on offense as well. Left bench is where he belongs until the D-League starts, then he can pack his bags and head to Fort Worth. The only hope I have is the Lakers are showcasing him to trade him, but then you have to wonder if playing is just further killing his stock. His minutes need to go to Profit, Wafer, and Green. McKie still has a hamstring problem, so PJax is playing him a limited role. However, I was surprised he wasn't on the court and Sasha was during some key moments of last night's game. I agree, I think Bynum needs more burn. I hate rushing him, but playing him more might help motivate Kwame and Mihm to stay out of foul trouble. What I do like about Bynum is his poise on the court. He doesn't panic when the double team comes and stays within the offense. Everytime Kwame gets the ball he rushes his shot and doesn't adjust to the defense. Same thing with Mihm, he always makes the shot harder than it needs to be. A great example was last night when he went to shoot, then fumbled the ball, recovered and made a basket. All this with no one within 5 feet of him. Butterfingers! I wouldn't mind PJax using Bynum as a spot starter. Let him play on the court with the starters for the first 9 minutes of a quarter and see how he does. I can't imagine him being any worse than what Kwame and Mihm are doing so far in the early quarters. The reality of it is, PJax might be forced to make this decision.
Phil Jackson should make Mihm and/or Brown run after a poor performance by either one of them. Kevin Garnett.... WE NEED YOU! lol
