The Los Angeles Lakers have decided to deliberately take their time in finding a new head coach due to the upcoming free agency period, according to a source.

The Lakers feel like they're not completely out of contention for LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony.

The Lakers only have three players with guaranteed contracts on their roster in Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash and Robert Sacre.

James is known to be interested in eventually playing with Anthony. The connection between the two players has some wondering if the two may eventually end up together with the Lakers, New York Knicks or Miami Heat.

The Heat could have a Big Four of James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and Anthony if all four take significant pay cuts.
