The Mavericks have lost back to back games to the Nets and 76ers. Lakers win tonight against Charlotte just put us in a tie with the Mavs for the 3rd seed.

If the playoffs ended tonight we'd face the Spurs in Round 1. How crazy is that?

While I like the 3rd seed, the thought of #1 is more appealing. What I find more incredible than this though is the fact that 1 through 9 are only separated by 5.5 games.

Not very crazy. San Antonio is the only team I do not want us to play in the playoffs. We need to avoid them if possible. I'm not scared of any other team, but these Spurs always take themselves to a new level come playoffs. Give me Phoenix, Dallas, New Orleans, Denver, anyone but San Antonio. lol

You don't find it crazy we have a better record than the Spurms at this point and could face them in round 1?

I'm hoping we face the Suns in Round 1 and bounce Shaq and D'Antoni in 4 games.

Crazy about the fact that we have a better record than the Spurs

Not crazy about the fact that we have to match up against them in the 1st round (if playoffs started)

Agreed. I don't think the Suns would stand a chance against us, not unless they could magically find a way to get a rebound against our enormous frontline, and then find a way to effectively incorporoate Shaq in the offense without losing the pace that makes them so difficult to gameplan against.

What happened to Dirk's three point shooting? Kobe owns him now in that, I am surprised.

I know it's been like that for most of the season, but I figured it was just a slump. This is kind of "Nick-Andersonish" of Dirk.

I with everyone else when it comes to the Suns. I'd love to face them a 3rd time. Three times a charm!!!
