Side bar; isn't it ironic how the Lakers are interviewing 2 more Mike's (Mike D'Antoni & Mike Dunleavy)?

When I saw this I just had to laugh out loud. I loved Mike D'Antoni when he coached the Suns but to make this Laker team into a run and gun offense would make Jack Nicholson lose his mind. Kobe would be aggravated with the lack of defense as well.

Mike Dunleavy could possibly work as he allows stars to take control of games and doesn't hold back. He did a slightly ok job coaching the Clippers with Cuttino Mobley, Sam Cassell and company.

I think D'Antoni would be a great coach for the Lakers. He'd put the ball in Nash's hands and he'll definitely get the rest of the team involved.

On defense? It's not like Kobe, Artest, and Howard are going to stop playing D or forget how.

You have to look at how he handled coaching the New York Knicks. Not the best at maintaining consistency or getting the most out of his players. We all know Nash gets the ball whenever he wants as he is an automatic coach/player on the court. With Nash down D'Antoni would not be able to work with Steve Blake.
