Bulls lost (again) last night, despite great efforts by Hinrich and Deng. Deng scored 21 last night to go along with Hinrichs team high 24 points and 12 assists. The Bulls were in this one the entire time actually. They took the lead at one point in the fourth quarter, but, as always, were inable to close out the game. Kobe Bryant was too much down the stretch for them, hitting clutch shots at key moments and scoring 7 points on an 18-9 run to close the game out. Byrant led all scorers with 29, snagged 10 boards, and dished out 7 assists, nearly recording a second straight triple double. I think, the one HUGE problem Chicago had last night: REBOUNDING. Kobe, Mihm, and Odom combined for 32 rebounds, that in itself was just one shy of the number that the Bulls came up with. Aside from that, they had 19 offensive boards, and if you're going to win, you can't give up that many. So, despite a hard performance, the Bulls STILL lost. If they're going to win, they're going to have to keep a lead late, as they had a lead at one point early in the fourth, and had it tied before Mihm made a hook shot to put the game away. But, despite the loss, the Bulls are looking a little better. Curry finally did something again, getting 14 points and 11 rebounds, but we need that effort, if not more than that, on a consistent basis. But, nonetheless, despite positives, like digging out of a 15 point hole and the big games from Hinrich and Deng, they still lost, and nothing will change that fact. Any other opinions on last nights game?
I think the Bulls need to give Gordon another chance in the starting lineup...and why in the world is Deng coming off the bench?
Deng is coming off the bench because....to tell the the truth, I don't know why. I almost want a starting backcourt of Hinrich, Nocioni, and Deng, but that won't ever happen. I think, eventually, Deng will start. When that will happen, I don't know. But it will eventually, unless they just want to keep him coming off the bench and give them a spark.
