I guess Stern wasn't going to go the obvious route and have the Lakers play Miami on opening day....http://www.nba.com/schedules/
http://www.bball-world.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=10060Anyway I like this season opening game for the Lakers.I was getting tired of the playing the Nuggets every season opener as they have done for the last 2 seasons. The game is going to be played on Halloween (October 31,2006) I can't wait for to watch some Laker Basketball.

The league is wasting no time trying to push this rivalry and I think it's starting to become one.

Nice choice. There is a pretty good rivalry going there after that playoff season. I'll be watching..
It's going to be funny seeing kobe abusing raja again and raja coming up with "i did my job". He's a comedian.

Sorry guys, I can't see the Lakers winning this. You guys haven't made many big moves this season to put you up for a victory against the Suns first game back. Don't get me wrong, I do think Kobe is the best player in the league and is doing alot with his backup but honestly all you guys got to back him up is Lamar and Luke Walton with a lil bit of Kwame on defense. The Suns are back with a newly recovered Amare Stoudamire ready to run for the title this year. I'm interested to see how Raja is treated that night though.
Dude, it's not a playoffs series. The Lakers can win this game. The Lakers can beat anybody in the league, with Kobe. it all depends on how they play. they won't beat everybody, never, not even close. but any team with a superstar like Kobe has a good chance of winning every game.

They also lost to Atlanta, Portland, Boston, and Charlotte. Regular season games are always up for grabs, all the inferior team needs is a hot night from one of their marquee players.

i doubt that's even 5% of his faults. look at his own cocky f*cking face in your sig. he's a cockfag. he obviously didn't abuse us THAT bad, we won the last 3 in a row to beat him.
