2 and a half hours til game time. Listen, I haven't sportswagered seriously since last years playoffs. I'm really good at picking spots, and Lakers are +4 dogs tonight, +170 moneyline. I'm gonna drop $150 on Lakers moneyline to win $255 for tonight. Shape you with me tonight buddy? If you guys remember correcty, Kobe marked this game after the loss to The Washington Chuckers after the lost and the fact that Arenas bowed in front of Staple's Center crowd got under everyone's skin, especially Kobe. Lakers have been on a slump lately losing to sub-par teams, and I think Kobe will WILL his way into a victory tonight, by any means necessary. Look for everyone to step up as well. So if anyone is looking to wager on a Laker game, I think tonight is it. I'm not gonna predict no stupid final score like 110-107 Lakers, but I think Lakers will pull out the victory tonight, I can almost bet my house on it Let's use this as the game thread as well. GO LAKERS!
I've got a great feeling the Lakers will win tonight. We've been on a little slump lately, and today will be a perfect day to end it. The Lakers always play down to their competition, but they always bring it against top notch teams. With that being said, the Lakers will hopefully bring their A game tonight or illmatic's gonna be pissed
Oh god, hopefully this will be a great matchup, including Mamba and Zero. Those two guys have the biggest killer instincts in the league atm. Jamison is out, our problem could be Haywood on the glass. And Butler is great in driving to the hoop and getting fouled there (Bynum's foul trouble). Hopefully, Kobe and Lamar won't have a bad perfomance again. Go Lakers !
I might take the points, the line moved to +4.5 for the Lakers. The Wizards will be without Antawn Jamsion, which helps our cause, because we've been struggling to secure rebounds. PJax rested his starters for this game, so they better come out with some fire and carry it through to the end. I really hope Kobe and Arenas defend one another. The NBA needs this type of rivalry and I'll feel ripped off if the coached don't allow them to go heads up on one another for a majority of the game. The Lakers are coming off a piss poor performance last night. They better come into this game with a purpose and not turn the ball over. Lamar Odom has to outplay Caron Butler tonight otherwise it's going to be hard for the Lakers to win this game. Odom hasn't found his groove yet, and I'm hoping for a monster game from him.
We'll really need Arenas to erupt tonight, but the main key for the Wizards to win tonight are bench production and Jarvis Hayes being inserted to the starting lineup for all of them to contribute and take some of the load off Arenas, Butler and Stevenson. I don't see us stopping Kobe espicially tonight and coming off a 40+ point game in Boston, so we'll need to beat the Lakers point-for-point here. Should be a highlight matchup.
<div class="quote_poster">shapecity Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Game Note: Kobe will not be guarding Arenas tonight to start the game and vice versa. LAME!</div> How do you know. Did the game even start?
Its Game Timeee! i have a good feeling about this game. Kobe will be great, bench will be very productive. GO Lakers!!
Damn, Kobe gets a couple of quick TOs and an offensive foul. I didn't see much that warranted that foul.
Kobe shoots over Stevenson for two. Smush with an air ball! Hayes with the jumper. Bynum with the nice layup. Arenas misses, then Haywood gets fouled.
Corny, all I've heard about Songalia was how he was only gonna see about 5-10 minutes tonight, I figured in the 4th quarter. He's already look at significant minutes being checked in already.
Washington with their first turnover. Darius Songalia checks into the lineup for the first time this year. Smush hits FTs. Odom with the reb. Thomas forces Jump ball.
Kobe wins the jump ball! J from the FT line. He's really attacking today. DeShawn with another J. Kobe finds Odom for three.
Songalia tips in his first two points as a wizard. Kobe for three! Gil with a three. End of first quarter. Kobe has 11. Gil with 10.
Washington loses the ball. Evans misses a three. Wow, Gil looks pissed for not getting the call. Evans runs the other way and gets fouled.
Blocking foul on Turiaf. Gil gets an And 1. Bryant with another J!!! He's 7-11. Gil misses. Kobe again!!! Washington gets two offensive boards. Butler hits the hookshot. Phil calls a timeout. 38-37 Lakers. Kobe has 12 points in the last four minutes.
Evans loses it and commits a foul. Loose ball foul on Thomas after the Wizards miss. Laker ball. Radman gets lucky by recovering the ball and gets an easy layup. Kobe recovered the ball from Gil to avoid disaster. Butler hits both FTs. Butler forces a TO.
