How do you guys feel about the Lakers trading for Kwame Brown? We would get the size we need and a young player. Its better than Lamar Slow-Dumb.

Not a big fan of Kwame either. Kwame has had plenty of chances to prove himself, but he only comes up with more excuses on why he's still inconsistent. Even in a contract year and his team on the verge of the playoffs, he's played poorly. The kid has shown zero motivation.

The Lakers should be able to get a lot more for Odom.

You'd be liable to get so much more for Odom than an unproven and likely to go nowhere Kwame Brown. The Lakers could trade Odom away for a much better big man out East name Tyson Chandler. Someone who has now proven he can get it done on both ends, especially defensively. Plus, the contract we might have to give Kwame might be overpaying him beyond any belief. To put it bluntly, Kwame is not worth losing Odom.

The problem is, Odom is a lot more valuable than "could be" for the Lakers. Remember, Odom was the main piece we got back in the Shaq deal. The Lakers are better off trading Odom for 2 or 3 quality players instead of a "could be" Jermaine O'neal.

Odom is worth much much more than Kwame, that would be a terrible trade for the Lakers..

Kwame has all the talent in the world, but not for Odom.

He has been injury plagued all year (Kwame) and his coach has no confidence in him, so I wouldn't give up on him just yet. I'd let him go to another team before I judge him..but not the Lakers.

There's a player out in Chicago named Tyson Chandler who would be great in a deal with Odom. He's what the Lakers needed all year too. A big guy who can play defense and man the middle. We didn't have one. However, it'd take a lot of coaxing most likely to get Pax and company out in Chicago to let go of their young big man.
