For now, I'll say no. I like Odom's versatility off the bench, and personally, I've never been a huge fan of Harrington. He's not a great rebounder for his size and he just seems like a chucker to me.

In my opinion, we already have an Al Harrington-esque player in our starting lineup in Radmanovic, and he's a lot cheaper.

I'd take Lamar over Al Harrington, granted Don Nelson would love to have Lamar in his system. But Al is a big guy who'd rather shoot a three than rebound. Only thing that can convince me to trade Lamar for Harrington is if Lamar demands a trade or starts tanking his play.

    Oh HELL NO

If you guys think Lamar is bad, just wait until you get a taste of Al Harrington. At least with Lamar, his contract runs out after this year so we may or may not have to deal with him any longer. Harrington is still on the books for a couple of years, if I remember correctly. Harrington sucks. He is the definition of a tweener, he thinks he's a superstar (evident by him demanding trades everywhere he goes) but he isn't. Forget it.

Only way I trade Lamar for Harrington is if we throw in Luke.

Yeah we'd have to deal with Harrington for another year after this year. It's really not worth it. Also GS would have to add more to the deal to make the trade work.

I was actually thinking of this trade. From a Warriors perspective, I would do it.

Lakers would go from Top Contender to back into the pack by doing this deal IMO. Odom is a stud and him @ PF causes mismatches with his speed and athleticism.

to be honest I'd do this if I'm the lakers for the simple fact that you don't know what you'll get from Odom on a nightly basis.....I think Harrington is a chucker, because of the offense he plays in....................

It's the same with Harrington though. They're both inconsistent in terms of their offense. At least with Odom you know he'll put forth the effort on the glass. Odom is also a MUCH better playmaker than Harrington. Oh yea, we'd also have to put up with Harrington ATTEMPTING to learn the offense...and if Odom struggles with it...I can't foresee Harrington having any success learning it. And also, since it's already been mentioned...Odom's contract is up after this year...Harrington has another year left. If Odom ends up tanking this year, his contract is good trade bait, or at worst, is $12mil off the books. With Al...we'd have to put up with him for another year, and I can't foresee any team wanting to take him if we want to get rid of him.

    Yea...thanks...but no thanks.

Odom seems like he'd be perfect as a 6th man for your team. I don't understand why you'd want to trade him. He gives you great versatility and rebounding. Having a guy who can defensive rebound like him and then start a fast break on his own is a big advantage. Don't undervalue it.

There's rumors around Warrior-land about a GS-LAL trade. Two of the scenarios I've heard:

Odom/Walton/Farmar for Harrington/B. Wright/Filler (though Warriors' "filler" is pretty much limited to Jackson leading to the following trade scenario)

    Odom/Walton/Farmar for Jackson/Harrington/M. Williams

Lakers really want W's to take Walton, W's are hesitating. I really don't want to trade Jack or Wright, definitely not both in the same trade, but I'd have to trade one if that deal was on the table.

Take it with a grain of salt. I'm just passing it on.

I'm positive, that this isn't going to happen. Why would we want to give up Farmar? He fits well and plays solid basketball. Though dumping Walton's ugly contract would be nice. But still, I can't see any reason, why would the Lakers do this trade.

I would do this in a heart beat. Jackson makes our team tougher automatically and losing Walton's contract is worth giving up Farmar.

Not if they want to rebuild. Odom's contract is coming off the books...wait...if they take on Walton...you're right, they get raped.

The only upside would be Odom off the books and Farmar.

I've always been anti-acquiring Odom but I think in our current state I'd be glad if we did one of those trades. Like I said, I don't want to dump Jack or Wright but I probably would in those deals. Lakers would be sick with Jack though. He'd be a good fit because he can play point forward, hes a great spot up shooter, he would get back to being a top notch defender again since he wouldn't have to D up the other team's best player, play PG, shoot 20+ shots a game, and play 42+ mins a game like he does in GS. Not to mention hes a tough SOB and a great locker room presence/leader (that's right bitches, I've got Tim Duncan, Popovic, and Sarunas Jasikevicius quotes to prove it plus what hes done in GS). Oh and hes fucking nails in the playoffs. He started on one of the SAS teams that won a championship and hit a lot of big shots during that playoff run. I don't think I could ever root for the Lakers but I'll always root for Jax no matter where he plays.

On the Warriors front, we get a legit PF who fits the system well. Plus Farmar is coming into his own this season. Walton is overpaid and just ok but another guy who'd probably fit well under Nellie. Plus we dump Al and Odom is an expiring contract. Farmar/Azu (who's having a breakout year thus far)/Mags/Odom/Beans with Turiaf, Farmar, Wright, Nelson, Watson off the bench doesn't look too bad compared to what we have now. Then when Monta comes back its Monta/Azu(?)/Mags/Odom/Beans- Odom can play a lot of point which helps plus Farmar is a nice combo guard off the bench. After the season Odom is an FA and his 11-12 mils comes off the books.

We can all count on Odom going into a funk now with these trade rumors circulating.

I think we should trade him to get some value. I think the team is set on keeping Ariza over Odom because he'll be cheaper to maintain and they have brighter hopes for him. For all intents and purposes, Lamar Odom has been a major fail since his trade to L.A. and I don't think Mitch will want to pay him the kind of money he wants...even if he is "taking a pay cut".

Well I searched around and haven't found anything on this.

Just wondering, where did you hear this from Run? Do you have a source?
