Was it a mistake to let him go?

No, odom was a on-going probelm with the clippers. He was always either injured or serving a drug suspension. When he was on the floor, he really didn't help the clipps too much...They seem to be doing fine without him this year.

Anyways, Odom was asking for too much money. With Donald Sterling's tight budget, clipper fans should be happy that they kept Magette and Brand. Those guys are worth it...

Considering the level of talent Lamar posseses, it was very hard to see him and his potential leave LA. In the end, I think Lamar just became the odd man out with Brand and Maggette rising to superstar status. He was often injured, had his well-publicized off-court issues and just hadn't performed to a level that could justify a 70 million dollar contract. Besides, Miami front-loaded the offer sheet so heavily that the Clippers really had no choice but to decline to match. If they had, they would have been left with almost zero money under the cap for next season. Brand, Maggette and Richardson are more than capable of filling the void Lamar left behind on his way to Florida. So in closing, I would say no.
