LA was interviewed on Jim Rome's show today. Here are a couple highlights as well as a link to listen to the full interview. LA talked about the team's great start, playing on Team USA, whether or not he thinks he'll be an All-Star, and what he has to do to be more like Batman than Robin.

Too late. Gerald Wallace is the Man. Worrying about a primitive trait like manliness is actually what Aldridge needs. It's exactly what his playing lacks.

LA proved he could be batman last year. I fully expect by midseason he will be the dominate player on the Blazers.

Only for about 6 weeks because he had both Miller and Camby feeding him. Then Camby got injured.

Wallace doesn't depend upon passes. He creates his own shot. Aldridge could work on his ball handling if he wants to challenge Wallace for who da Man.

    Sorry Aldridge

Gerald seems to be "Batman" right now. Guys name is chanted nightly right now. Kind of amazing really.

Gerald is the heart of the team.

That is so true... Portland fans reward heart soo much as they should and when the chant Crash at the game and not Batum or LA that should say something to everyone questioning who we should be throwing money towards...

That's because it's too hard to chant Batum and Aldridge's name. Wallace has an easy name. 4 syllables and flows like water. Go figure,

    LOL

Yeah, it's because his name is easy to chant.... loll

It's because he plays hard and plays his heart out every game. He's also the most exciting player on the team. He's also really likable.

Gerald Wallace owns this city right now.

I guess the reason they were chanting his name against the Clippers is because on the video screen during the timeout they showed an interview of him answering a question of whether he's a dance club or dive bar guy. Without hesitation he said dive bar and apparently the crowd instantly erupted and started chanting his name.
