i watched the whole Milwaukee game and he really did play hard. he went for boards. he may not have gottena ll of them but he ended with 11 and that was for a reason. memphis he made good decisions and seeing gasol in person hes a big MF'r. he came out tonight and played. 4th quarter wasnt good but every defense is going to take out your killer. look at kobe in the second half..

it actually made me feel like i was watching roy. that was the first time i have ever felt so comfortable with one of our players putting the ball in the hoop for a whole half since roy was roy. even though we lost that was a good feeling

He tries early, then he tires easily, and is usually worthless in the 4th quarter. Maybe he should play like other forwards around the league--less defense and more rebounding.

McMillan's harping on 48 minutes of defense was why we had nothing left in our sails at the end. That was one reason I wanted a new, normal coach, who loosens up the defense so that they have the energy to shoot better. Or in Aldridge's case, so that he has the energy to win a close game for once.

Agreed, for the first time ever really, felt like with don't need Roy or Oden, and in fact that LMA is the best of both worlds.

It also felt good to have another scoring big man (Hickson) with him. We haven't had that in awhile. Makes a big difference.

La does tire easily, I think it has a lot to do with a few things. He is constantly switching and moving on defense, which is a good thing imo. Then on the offensive end he runs the floor on the fast break and when he gets the ball at the side of the hoop 15 feet away from the basket which is were we like to give it to him, he then has to push his defender (usually the bigger center) closer to the hoop to try and get one of his post moves in. By the 4th quarter teams are making him go all out for just a shot attempt and when he is already exhausted it doesn't work out that well for us.
Having Hickson here is great, when both are on the floor they both score in the paint so it should open that up for easier baskets for LMA and the fact that Kaleb is putting him in for LMA earlier it should bring LMA down to 33-35 which should lead to more defense/scoring from him in the 4th.

Exactly. Hickson is the pickup of the year.
