EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- Los Angeles Lakers player Lamar Odom's 6?-month-old son has died, a spokesman for the team said Thursday. Jayden Odom died Wednesday night, apparently suffocating while sleeping in his crib in New York, according to John Black. "Lamar is very distraught," Black said. "Both he and the baby's mother are asking that people respect their privacy at this time." Jayden was born Dec. 15. Odom has two older children -- a son and a daughter. The 26-year-old Odom came to the Lakers two years ago in the trade that sent Shaquille O'Neal to the Miami Heat. Oh man! you beat me to it. Condolences to Odom family, this shouldn't happen to anybody but..oh well I hope he goes through this well and come back next season stronger. My prayer goes to the son.
Wow. You never want to hear about this kinda stuff happening.. my condolences. This'll definitely motivate Odom the upcoming season. I'll pray for his son.
Damn....I just found out about this on another forum. Man, I cannot imagine what Lamar and his family is going through right now. My condolences go to his family. I hope they make it through this alright. Truly a shame....RIP little man.
Oh my God...this is so sad. I feel so bad for Lamar and the mother. This thing can stay with a person forever. Really speechless right now in terms of how terrible this is.

You know on the news whenver they say someone in their middle age or elderly life has passed I feel bad, but I can't take hearing about little children it definately puts things in prespective for us. My prayers go out to Lamar and his family.
I'm also worried Lamar is gonna start smoking way more weed now.... I hope he'll be able to stay strong through this.
It seems unfair that God would take him away so soon. My thoughts are with Lamar's family during this difficult time.
We need to do something for Lamar during the season.. It'll be really tough to bounce back from this kind of tragedy. I know Lamar can do it though.
