You don't have to be a Duck fan to realize that James is a special kind of back. He's only a sophomore, but was a leader in rushing in the Pac last year. Through two games (one game suspension) he has 361 yards and 3 TD's. Yes, he's anchored by the best OL in the Pac, but this kid is exciting and fun. He's undersized at 180# but frequently you'll see him, literally, carrying two LB's and a safety/CB for five yards after initial contact. He's described as a leader and "beast" in the weight room and practice. He recently described his 227 yard, 2 TD game as one of the worst of his career. It will be fun to follow his stats throughout the season, as he's yet to play one full game! http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/players/165849
...it's fun to note (if you're a Duck fan) that LMJ is averaging 12 yards per carry this season and 9 yards per reception.
Although, his 9 yards per reception is based on exactly 1 reception, so that doesn't mean too much...
I was waiting for someone to catch that - LOL. Still, truth is, he's averaged 9 yards per catch, right?
He is the master of the spin, as far as I am concerned. PSU was clearly not a test, but it's still nice to see him getting numbers when he SHOULD get them. Ed O.
I'm bias so it isn't fair for me to say, but they currently have the top rated offense and defense in the Country. I think that's worth watching!
