<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Isiah Thomas' protracted wait for Larry Brown may prove to be Thomas' smartest play yet as Knicks' president. In recent days, various reports have surfaced that Pistons owner Bill Davidson will fire Brown and it sounds as if Brown is daring Detroit to do just that. The Knicks, according to a league source, are more optimistic than ever they will have a real chance of hiring Brown as their coach. "The things going on in Detroit are legitimate," the source said. "It sounds like Davidson wants to fire him." </div> Link As a Knicks fan, all I can say is: "Wooohooo!"
I dont understand whats the point of Larry Brown coaching the Knicks, HE DOESNT WANT TO COACH THEM!!!!. Larry's status as a coach is very low, hes getting old, and looks like cant coach for more than 2 seasons. The Knicks should just stay with Herb Williams cause its not even right to bring a coach of that caliber to a .500 team like the New York Knicks.
Larry has done some amazing things as a basketball coach but why on earth he would want to coach that mess of a team I have no idea. Larry Brown and his wife said he will not coach the Knicks. The Pistons will be his last coaching job. Remains to be seen I guess If that turns out true. I hate to believe he is trying to get himself fired. He wants to coach and he wants to coach in Detroit. Any sources coming out of the New York are normally garbage. If he is fired, I would expect him just to retire from coaching. I am sick and tired of the waiting that the Pistons have to go through. The whole franchise is luck that Flip Saunders is willing to wait otherwise they would be screwed.
