Wow.. I'm almost speechless. Is he serious? Here's my favorite part:<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Brown is asking for an additional 25 percent of the original value of the $50-million contract - an additional $12.5 million - as "liquidated damages" as a result of the firing.</div> :HAHAHA:
Hell, I'd do the same thing too... go Larry! But think about it, if he ends up actually getting paid about $40 million, he would have made about $50-55 million the past three years... now that is insane.
Dam for all that knicks should of kept him... This is what they get... Thinkin larry was going to turn the knicks in to champs in one year.... They should of gave larry more time.
I saw this on realgm.com and the first thought that came to mind is doesn't Larry Brown already have enough money. I mean what's his issue, if he does get any kind of money it should go towards the needy and not his pocket. Or he's a greedy bastard and proves some critics that he's a selfish bastard.
I hope Brown returns to the sidelines, but I just don't see it happening. He's getting old and there is always that possibility that his health issues will return. If anything I think he'll try to get a front office job somewhere (I feel sorry for that franchise). He has talked about possibly returning to Philadelphia as a consultant to the Sixers since he and his family always liked Philly, but that is a longshot.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Renton @ Sep 23 2006, 06:08 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I bet Iverson would like that. </div>Actually, surprisingly I think he would...
Wow, this is crazy. I'm sure he's already rich by now but it just looks like he's being selfish and wants all the money in the world. Honestly, I think he's a great coach but he does not deserve all this money. And no matter what anybody says, I never saw Larry Brown being this great coach that was going to help out the Knicks and bring about change to the organization. Nobody can really help the Knicks except Isiah Thomas himself mainly because he put the team together and only he can fix his mistakes, at least that's what I think....
I don't really see the Knicks improving much. Maybe, just maybe, they can make it to the Eastern Conference playoffs, but I don't guarantee much success. Too many stars; too little potential (now)...Anyway, Larry's silly. I hope he chokes on his old playbooks. I don't hate the guy, but how can one of the top coaches of all-time not be able to control a team full of stars? There's pretty much no difference between the 2005-06 Knicks and 2003-04 Detroit Pistons line-ups! They all have stars in their starting line-up. How disgusting.. Larry's just old. Give him time. He'll eventually die.
