<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>CLEVELAND -- New York Knicks coach Larry Brown was to be hospitalized overnight after becoming ill in the third quarter of Thursday night's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The 65-year-old Brown, whose had health issues in recent years, was taken from Quicken Loans Arena on a stretcher following New York's 91-87 loss. He appeared alert and was sitting upright with oxygen tubes in his nose as he was wheeled out to an emergency vehicle. Brown was pale but appeared alert and he was sitting upright with oxygen tubes in his nose as he was wheeled to an emergency vehicle. Brown didn't say anything while being taken to an undisclosed hospital. The Knicks flew back to New York. Knicks spokesman Jonathan Supranowitz said Brown was examined by Cavaliers team doctors and a Knicks physician after leaving the bench. Brown's vital signs were "stable," but because his symptoms came on so quickly, doctors felt it was best that he be admimtted to the hospital for further tests and observation. Supranowitz said Brown had an upset stomach. "All Larry told me to tell you was that, 'I'm fine,' " Supranowitz said. The Knicks play at home Friday night against Milwaukee, but it is not known if Brown will be on the sideline. As Brown was being attended to by medical staff in a room down the hallway from the Knicks locker room, assistant coach Herb Williams and other staff members went in to check on him. Cavaliers general manager Danny Ferry and coach Mike Brown also stopped by. Before the game, Brown was his usual self. He held court with reporters in the corridor and had a brief chat with injured Cavs superstar LeBron James, whom Brown coached on the U.S. team in the 2002 Olympics. Brown has had a tumultuous first season with the Knicks. He has publicly criticized his players and squabbled with star guard Stephon Marbury. The injuries have piled up as high as the losses for the Knicks, who dropped to 22-56 after blowing a nine-point fourth quarter lead to the Cavaliers. In February, Brown was taken to a Memphis hospital with chest pains but didn't miss any games. While coaching the Detroit Pistons last season, Brown missed 17 games after having a hip replaced. That operation led to a bladder problem that required surgery in November. Brown needs more surgery for the bladder problem, but he's putting that off until after the season.</div>I hope Larry is ok, that would really suck he finally gets his dream job of coaching the Knicks and now his heath is bad again. Get well Larry.

LeBron destroyed you both times, with 36 points and 34 points. So I would blame the rest of the Cavs team for those losses..LeBron cant do it all. And I would've bet everything on the Cavs winning last night, because there is no way they would ever be swept by the saddest team in the NBA

yea cuz coaches have the ability to fix a salary cap that is over 100million a year. i just dont understand how a team can spend soooo much money and be the worst team in the league at the same time. This team has good players, but they are stupid and lazy. Curry has the ability to be a good player but the moron gained all the weight back that he just lost. Without a coach like Skiles he will never push himself.larry brown isnt a good coach, hes been a coach for teams with very good players which is why hes won so many games. Now hes on a team with mediocre players, selfish players, lazy players who have very little motivation and he doesnt know how to deal with it. Face it the Knicks need a hard nose coach and a GM who demands hard work, the knicks have neither.

brown is a hard nose coach. the players just couldn't take it. trust me he'll be back next season and they will be better than this year. there is going to be a lot of moves this summer and the ones who don't wanna listen to brown will be cut loose.

I think the way this team plays is giving this old man (Brown) too much stress, which I think has caused this recent illness. He has just ruined his coaching career with these guys. Damn, IThomas has ruined this guy's health with bringing in so many unfitting players. I say Brown retire ASAP or sign with a new team otherwise he's gonna eat it

Honestly they need to get a new GM, isiah clearly has no direction for this team. If he is in fact gathering these players cuz he thinks he can package a trade, no one will do it becuz it would set that team back so far cuz of the long big contracts.they need to build their team around their young guys, but i think they screwed that up when they got jerome james, francis and jalen rose.
