I really don't like the idea of us losing Hughes next season. I think we need to find a way to keep him on the team, even though that really doesn't seem possible right now. I know it's still early in the season but he's been coming up big, plus I like the trio of Arenas, Jamison, & Hughes.

With Kwame back & Haywood producing pretty well, I really wish we hadn't signed Etan to that contract. That money could've been used elsewhere.

Well as long as their's money, the team doesn't have to lose him since the cap doesn't come into play when signing your own FA's, it just depends on if management wants to put out that money.

I thought with him being a unrestricted FA next year, he would be offered money we wouldn't be able to match.

No you can go over the cap to sign your own FA's, but depends on how much money the team wants to spend because Kwame has to be signed too.

I hope we decide to keep him, I can see this squad we have now doing some real damage to teams this year, especially if we learn to play defense. I can't imagine how well they'll do with a full year under their belt in this system w/Jamison in the lineup. I think we're only going to get better as the year goes on, with all the youth on our team I don't really see us slowing down, in fact we should play even better as they learn to gel together even more (which hopefully means no more slow starts & consistent quarters)

Hopefully last night's defense will continue, Hughes really locked up Jefferson.

If it comes down to Kwame or Hughes, I think management will take Kwame. I would like to see both stay, I regret signing Etan to that huge contract, he really didnt deserve that much money, we should of just let him walk.
