Who's done more damage to this franchise?

*Sending letters to teams not to pick up Darius Miles off waivers as it would be sabotage -- Days later that's exactly what happened.

*Telling media that they have interest in certain GM's who are still currently under contract with their teams -- that's tampering.

*Telling CSNW that they want to bring back Batum but only if some team doesn't offer something crazy -- He set this team up for exactly that. Nic will get his $10m/per from some team.

The first one sounds like Paul Allen. The last two I could care less about as I do not see them creating any damage.

Kind of like comparing the damage of Sheed to Bonzi. In the end it doesn't matter, they were both bad.

The deal here is that Miller appears to be made of Teflon for some reason. PA must like him. I don't get it.

Nice try on the last one. But batum and his agent wanted 9 million per yr to begin with. Larry wouldnt give him that and thats a good thing. If someone does offer him 10, let him go.

Miller's doing fine. Nash tried to please his master the Oregonian but no one could until their glowboy Pritchard.

That does not compare to drafting Telfair and Webster and passing on all the other talent of those drafts.

I don't see an issue with any of the above, personally. The third one is the dumbest, though, IMO, to include on the list. he set us up to have a bad offer, basicaly, offered to Batum, by saying we would match, but fear someone will throw him a ridiculous offer.

I mean, isn't it common sense what he said. We want to bring him back unless someone makes a crazy offer. So before, SA thought they'd get him for 7, but now, they know they need a "crazy offer", so they'll go 10?

Some bad and some good moves have been made with Miller in charge, and some major injuries happened (Roy Oden). But besides signing Joel who basically presented himself on a silver platter for the opportunity to back up the oft injured and just maxed out (by Nash) Theo Ratliff, every single move made during JN's stint was shit. In the draft he passed over HOF talents to triumphantly select shit and every significant trade he made was a disaster. Blasting Miller for his handling of Darius Miles is fair game I guess, but remind me of who signed DM to the 6 year 48M contract AFTER every team with cap space had used it? I recall being crosseyed about that signing along with several posters still active in our community.

    is JN still returning emails?

John Nash's tenure was a huge disaster. The team was terrible, it didn't get any value for a lot of its expiring contracts, and it gave extensions seemingly willy-nilly.

Miller hasn't done much positive in his time with the Blazers (IMO) but he didn't absolutely fail at every part of the job other than playing golf with local media like Nash did.

Patterson/Nash ruined the finances of the Blazers. Fans stayed away in droves. You literally could not give tickets away. The team was a national joke.

Miller has balanced the books (so to speak). Fans have come back to the Rose Garden.

The two eras aren't even close.

Organization is closer to breaking even on the business side then they ever have been. Jail Blazer era is gone. Organization is nationally recognized as the leader in "going green". etc. etc.

Team is set up to be in a great position in free agency and the draft (trade the picks!). Next season should be a lot different than this disaster.
