    LA Raiders coach Jon Gruden resigns over emails he sent denouncing women referees, the drafting of a gay player, national anthem protests and calling Biden a 'nervous p****'
    • Las Vegas head coach Jon Gruden, 58, resigned today after a score of emails with homophobic, misogynistic and racist comments were revealed
    • The emails were uncovered in a sweeping investigation of 650,000 emails by the NFL for a workplace misconduct investigation
    • On Friday, the Wall Street Journal reported that Gruden wrote 'Dumboriss Smith has lips the size of Michelin tires,' in an email
    • Today, the New York Times revealed that Gruden called Commissioner Roger Goodell was a f*****and said he was 'clueless' and 'anti-football'
    • He wrote Goodell shouldn't have pressured the Rams to draft 'queers,' a reference to Michael Sam, the first openly gay player drafted by an NFL team
    • Gruden replied to a sexist meme of a female official by saying: 'Nice job Roger [Goodell],' and said a player who knelt for the national anthem should be fired
    • He also criticized President Obama in 2012, and called now-President Joe Biden a 'nervous, clueless p****'

    Frankly, I am shocked... SHOCKED.... that anyone in football is a homophobe or a racist. I thought football was a refined sport with civilized gentlemen.

    I’ve heard stories that Gruden is dickhead. This whole situation kind of confirms it.

    I remember reading an article about him working the Monday night football games with McDonough. Him saying it was almost impossible to work with him because he was such a prick even while on air with each other.

    Not just athletes - that is true for all people. The difference is in how people deal with it. Case in point: lots of people were upset with Meyers Leonard, but very few went on the internet and posted statements about how his wife deserved to be raped.
