I think the season starts tomorrow in my opinion. Media Day is when it all starts. We will have daily articles in the paper every day. Updates and recaps about training camp/ WE MADE IT!!!!!!! We survived another baseball season!!!!!!! Bring on Quick and Freeman! The wait is over! 5 days 'til the fan fest scrimmage. No more threads about people asking what you eat for lunch or what kind of deodorant you use!
I agree, it all starts this week. Quotes from players, coaches ect . . hints of who might be disgruntled, rookies that are looking strong in camp (Blazers have 3 big ones) . . . basically a lot of quotes for us to comment and over analyze . . . fun times coming up.
I'm not that excited for media day itself - it's going to be a lot of platitudes about the playoffs, coming together and accepting roles - but I'm excited about what it represents ... the first descent on this roller coaster that isn't going to let us off the ride until April or May. You can look up and down this roster and find story lines with every player on the roster. From "Can Oden stay healthy?" to "Who will Raef be traded for?" ... it's going to be an interesting season. I've been waiting for this since the Phoenix game to end the season. I can't wait!
The season really doesn't start for me until the first pre-season game. I want to see these guys play so I can arrive at some conclusions that aren't complete suppositions.
That's the problem with living in Denver half the year. The only thing I see getting thrown down is a Nugget to the pavement by a cop.
I grew up in Portland. I live half the year in Denver and half in LO, although the past few have been 80% CO and 20% OR.
Is the Pope Catholic? I'm a season-ticket holder at the RG and have been since I took over my dad's tickets in 1987. You don't think I drive four miles to see the Blazers?
