LA Times picked the Lakers 10th in the West in their season preview. When the home town news puts you back in the lottery isn't that a wakeup call to management. Hopefully JBuss takes note. At least the Times picked the Queens 11th behind the Lake show, the cow bell ringers have to be the most overrated preseason pick out there.

Link to this please? Anyways, I don't see the Lakers finishing 10th, and I sure as hell don't see the Kings being 11th. They're squad is too talented and has some pretty good depth. The lowest I can see them this year is in the 4th seed.

Wow, those guys really are dumb. Memphis, to me, is on the playoff bubble and might not even be there. Their roster took a huge hit (lost Posey and Williams), and barely gained much compensation with an aging Eddie Jones. The Clippers are the Clippers. They'll find a way to lose no matter how much talent they have. Beyond that, outside of the PG and PF spot, do they have any depth. Their bench pretty much begins with Livingston and Wilcox, and ends there as well. Plus, they're both unproven players so far and Livingston is injured for a month or so. Seattle won't finish that high. They lost a steady backup PG in AD and lost depth at the 4/5 in Jerome James. Plus, Rashard Lewis has always had health problems, and that thought should frighten most Seattle fans. And, after him and Allen, where do the points come from? Phoenix almost seems a stretch for the playoffs this year, but they still have a lot of talent. They're going to need a lot of production from, aside from the obvious two, James Jones, Jimmy Jackson, Raja Bell, and Kurt Thomas. Each of those 4 will need to be consistent in order to make up, not just for Amare, but for Q and Joe Johson as well. I think that's about all I have to comment on right now.

Looks like at least they got the Queens right at #11, they sucked last night. First they steal our uniform colors, now they are trying to take our lottery pick.[IMG]

It's still early in the season. The Kings are struggling right now, but Adelman will get them playing good ball here soon enough. Two of their top players, Bibby and Peja, really haven't done jack so far, so I'd look for them to start winning games once those two show up.

Wow, lol. It seems the LATimes is really biased against the Kings placing them 11th. I can't see that happening.

Also why isn't the LATimes biased for the Lakers? Seems kind of strange that they don't have Lakers at 8th at least, because its possible. LAtimes = Clipper fans?

Did you see what happened to the Lakers bench against Phoenix last night? They were outscored by at least 25 points, that and Mihm are the reason the Lakers won't make the playoffs.

The writers at the LATimes were all Pro-Shaq, so when he left, they made it an agenda to smear Kobe and the Lakers. As a result, they've lost a lot of inside contact with the organization and it's one of the reasons the Lakers instituted more privacy when PJax came aboard. It's an interesting dynamic right now in LA. The sports talk radio shows have stolen away a lot of the LA Times readership.

Denver isn't better than Phoenix or Dallas. Get a grip. If you take away the alleyoop lobs you're left with precious little of an offensive system and below average team defense. Andre Miller is one of those classic "he averages 9 assists - he must be a great point guard" myths. They don't have any one who can hold it down on their front line, Camby and KMart are big men who play like guards. They're the Nets of the west, except without Jason Kidd. Not to mention they don't have a truly unstoppable scorer like a Vince, a TMac, etc. They ain't smelling the western conference finals this year or anytime soon.
