What is up with Bonzi Wells? I know he refused to sign a 30 million dollar deal with the Kings, but are any teams still after this guy? He's a great 20/10 player when he wants to be ( for a guard, thats amazing!) , but his age will start to decline him. I wouldn't be surprised if he is left without a team this upcoming season, this is just going to be Latrell Spreewell all over again, imo...

A 20 and 10 player? He has never averaged over 17 points, nor seven rebounds for a season how do you get 20 and 10 out of that? Anyway, teams are very interested in him from what I hear. He is only 30 years old, and would be a good addition to any team that is one piece away from contending. He will never be a superstar, but he could shine playing next to a guy like Kobe…

I think he's going to sign a one year deal with the Kings this year and become a FA again next year. The way things are going, that's likely going to be his only option, unless someone tosses a ton of money at him.

He was a 20-10 player for one playoff series, he is not a 20-10 player. He's more of a 16-17 PPG, 6-7 RPG guy getting average starter minutes (35 MPG?), and he can defend too.

Like Best Kept said, Bonzi is turning 30 years old before the season starts, so you're not likely planning on giving him a long contract. Outside of a decent 01-02, he has not shown to be an outside shooter, so some teams who are looking for that will not want to spend on him. I don't really know where he can go right now. Denver is there, but he doesn't fill their shooting need, just a positional one.

Other teams that could possibly go after him are Indiana, and I'm just going out of the limb here without thinking about money situations, maybe Houston as a third scorer, New Orleans as a starting SG, so Dmase can come off the bench as a G-F, obviously back to Sacramento, or some crazy thing like wanting to play off the bench for Miami, yea...

there is no way bonzi is coming back to sacramento. if they resign him they will then be a luxury tax team. and by 20/10 i meant in the playoffs he averaged around there. and he was doing it against the defending champs. so he can be a star player if he wants to, the kings offered him a 5 year deal (i would have preferred a 3 or 4 year deal). the thing tha concerns me is his age, 1 year wont make too much of a difference but come 3 , 4 years he will start to slow down. basically, he should fire his agent. he won't get a better deal than what sac offered him. Not many teams have money to spend on someone who wants big bucks...

Again, it was one series, no he cannot be a star player, sorry. He's 30 years old and has one good playoff series, that does not make him a star. Many guys have had one good series before, don't get too excited. He's like a Ricky Davis type guy, at best he's a borderline All-Star.
