http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/430...barrass_arenas/ <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>A lawyer in a paternity case threatened to serve Gilbert Arenas with a subpoena in a nationally televised game March 28 in Sacramento, the Mercury News is reporting. Arenas watched the game from his hotel room under an alias -- the team said he had the flu -- then flew to Houston while his teammates spent the night. The ordeal went on so long it actually became a running gag with some of the Wizards. . . . In Oakland, Arenas narrowly escaped being served when teammate Donnell Taylor was mistaken for him at a practice, giving Arenas enough time to flee. ``All I heard was: `We're going to get him by any means necessary. If he's shooting a free throw, we'll run on that floor and embarrass him, that's what we're going to do.' It got that crazy and nasty,'' Arenas said. Arenas and the woman, a former Kings employee, eventually came to an agreement, and the woman and their daughter now live a few miles apart in Virginia.</div> WTF happened? I don't get why any of this happened, and I am still confused about the entire situation. Huh?
This was this past season. Basically in the paternity suit the lawyer of the women suing Arenas wanted to embarrass Gil in any way possible. He wanted to go out there in the middle of the game while Arenas was shooting a free throw and hand him the subpoena, forcing the police to escort him off the court on national TV, etc.The lawyer never got to do any of that anyway, and Arenas eventually settled the suit with the woman.

That would have been ridiculous, but I will admit I would laugh if that happened. I mean a person walking on the court and handing Gil a subpoena in the middle of a game would be too crazy not to crack a smile at it. I still have one question though, what was she suing him for in the first place?
