"As team-building events go, the annual NFL draft of college players rightfully grabs the spotlight. For the 49ers, though, the draft probably means a lot less than it has in years past. The 2011 team was good, arguably two mistakes away from playing in the Super Bowl. With a significant number of key players returning, the fact that the 49ers don't pick until 30th in this year's draft is of little concern.
