There are sooooo many ways I could have spun that title given the circumstances and his last name, but we'll avoid that for now... and as long as possible, but it is inevitable that somethings will come of this. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=337178 I'm sure there is no offence meant to him, as he hasn't done anything unclassy or worth warranting any backlash from fans... other than having that huge price-tag on him. He's definitely not worth it, but it more an #7 guy. That being said, the other guy in the picture above should also be on waivers. He brings absolutely NOTHING to the club. Talk about a guy who does not want ot define his role. He's big, he's strong, he can skate well, and handles the puck well... but does not want to refine any aspect of his game, and his lack of Hockey sense anywhere on the ice costs the Leafs many times.
That's likely where he's end up. I think the way it goes is if a play is not picked up off of waivers, they can be sent down to the minors. That would be $3.5M extra to spend. (another top 6 Forward) That would be huge, because Toronto already has $600K free, so that's $4.1M right there.
I'm not sure. I use NHLNumbers.com for my info, and theirs is from CapGeek. They have different numbers though. Well, at least we know it's in that range.
