Not sure what you mean by that, but if you recall Jordan was in the same situation as LeBron loosing against the Pistons during his third year with the bulls. Look what happend after that year to Jordans career! The same thing that will happen to LeBron obviously. All this does is enhance my belief that LeBron will equal Jordan.

Its like people say before Lebron is Lebron, stop saying he is better than. Lebron is a great player who you can COMPARE to others but not say he is better. MJ has earned his spot and respect should be given. Stop saying lebron or kobe is better than jordan. Comparisons are ok because you are not taking away from the greats.

I'm not saying that LeBron is better than them. They are all great players. All I'm saying is that Bron will be as good, while others are saying that he never will out of anger due to all the hype.

When it comes to scoring and their skillsets, this isn't even close yet as far as i'm concerned, and on defense, there isn't a debate about who's the better defender..

It's ok. This comes from a fan of neither and I think and I know that Kobe is still the best player.

    MJ > Kobe > Lebron

Lebron doesn't even have a consistant jump shot YET. Cav fans are extremely retarded. You get the best player to come out in the past 10 years and you suddenly assume he is allready better than many players who have allready established themselves. Yes he is an amazing player and maybe some day he will be better than Kobe and MJ, but right now he can'y shoot the rock on a consistant basis, he gets most of his points on driving and put backs. His ability to take the ball to the hoop is crazy good.

I bet you if Greg Oden or OJ Mayo in their first three years do some of the same stuff Lebron is doing then their fans wil react the same way. Lebron fans are just very excited about the fact that Lebron can only get better which is a scary fact. Don't let your excitement take you over. He is good, but when he can lead a team of no namers to the playoffs and a game 7, then he is better than Kobe. And yo prove that Lebron hasn't done that, Lebron had no namers on his team the first two years and didn't take them anywhere. He finally gets Larry Hughes and Donyell Marshal and they make it. Kobe did it with a guy named Smush Parker as a starter.

Don't even have to say anything about Jordon Comparison.

Let me start off by saying that I think Lebron is better than Kobe....yes Kobe has been in the league longer, but that doesn't automatically make him better imo (like some of you resort to).......Kobe like Lebron is leading a team by himself (with no shaq) and to be honest Lebron has done a better job of doing it......yes Kobe has 3 rings, but he had a guy by the name of Shaquille O'Neal playing next to him.....since Shaq has left Kobe has been to the playoffs once, building a 3-1 lead only to have the Suns come back and defeat him....and on top of that in a game 7, he decided to only take 3 shots in the 2nd half?!?!?!?.....I'm sorry but if I had one guy to build my team around now, I'd choose Bron (and a lot of people would do the same also)....and please Kobe fan don't bring up the excuse of "Lebron has better role players"........that is LAME......both of their supporting casts are average....Larry Hughes wasn't even their most of the season, wasn't there when the Cavs beat Detroit, and even when he was there he didn't do that good.......Ilgauskas = a slow old man (hints why he was on the bench a lot), Gooden is an avg. PF, Snow is a good defender, but he's never had an offensive game, Damon Jones played like crap this year, Marshall was probably there only "good" 3 point shooter...............at least Kobe has Lamar Odom.....what I'm basically trying to say is YES you can make an argument that Lebron is better than Kobe now.......it's not blasphemous....it's not insane...........it's not wrong.....get over it, not everyone thinks Kobe is the best player....Kobe is the better defender, but James is the better rebounder, floor general, and passer...and statistics show that he's been better in the clutch (where's durvasa when you need him).........so yeah get over it....I'm done.

Weren't Lebron and Kobe having the same game 7 second half performance??? and both teams supporting casts couldn't shoot too.

    Lamer Odom > Gooden...OK!
    Marshell > Walton
    Ilgauskas > Kwame Brown
    Eric Snow > Smush Parker
and Cavs also have Larry Hughes and Damon Jones...just look at the L.A. Bench!

If you still say L.A. have better supporting cast, up to you all haters

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">yes Kobe has 3 rings, but he had a guy by the name of Shaquille O'Neal playing next to him.....since Shaq has left Kobe has been to the playoffs once</div>

If so, then if this year the Miami Heat can't even make to the Final, Wade sucks hard too with even better players around the big 2. Remember that Shaq also couldn't get a ring after departing from L.A. If Lebron can win a ring with the same supporting cast he is having now, then i will for sure think he is better than Kobe or even MJ [IMG] Otherwise Kobe > Lebron for now. I think Lebron is an awesome superstar too but please give credit for what Kobe did this year.

Bron was at least attempting shots.....and the fact that eric snow is better than Smush Parker still isn't sayin much, people act like Lebron has a cast of all stars around him.......yes bron MIGHT have the better supporting cast (Lamar Odom is an all star level talent and Jones was crap this year, and as I already mentioned Hughes wasn't even around most of the time), but that still doesn't change the fact that both men have mediocre talent around them.............quick question for all those who say Kobe > Lebron......if there places had been switched, do you think Kobe could've took the cavs to 7 games against the pistons, and do you think LBJ would've let the suns come back down from 3-1?.....Lebron at this point in his career makes players around him better (more than Kobe) imo.....Kobe is a great scorer, and a phenominal talent, but dude wouldn't be the first choice if I had to build a team around one guy.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">If so, then if this year the Miami Heat can't even make to the Final, Wade sucks hard too with even better players around the big 2. Shaq is older now, and I actually think that those Laker teams had a better supporting cast than Miami.....Shaq has also made it to the conference finals twice since leaving Kobe....there's a reason why any team that gets shaq becomes a legit title contender.......it's because he's Shaq.....bottom line is you CAN make an argument that Bron is better than Kobe.....it's not a no brainer.

If you watched game 6 in the LAL vs PHX series, you know that if it was not Tim Thomas making the 3 pt shot at the end of the regulation in the game, Lakers should be in the 2nd round. Tim Thomas was coming from nowhere in the series being a damn good 3 pt shooter. And the Suns were shooting like 60% all the time in the series and many of them were 3pt. I remember Lebron saying something after game 1 vs the Pistons. Something like: If the Pistons are shooting like they were in Game 1, they can't be stopped. No one can stop them.

    and if Cleveland would've got a rebound in game 6 they would've beat the Pistons....but you know what.....it didn't happen....therefore it's irrelevant.

If Kobe would have taken more shots, you would say he was a greedy ballhog. LeBron's supporting cast > Kobe's. The center position is probably the most important on the court. It's proven by the fact that almost every dynasty has had a great center. Players like Donyell Marshall are overlooked. The contributions that they make to the team are much greater than what the Lakers supporting cast make. The Lakers only had Lamar Odom and Luke Walton playing consistantly. Without going into too much detail, Kobe is better than LeBron on both ends of the floor, the most notable is the defensive end. Some proof to this could be shown by how Tayshaun Prince had his scoring increase by around 50% when he was guarded by LeBron.

There are plenty of examples where that isn't true. The first that comes to mind would be the Bulls, Luc Longely was far from great. Besides, Lebron isn't playing with a "great" center. Z is above average, and a great player, but not a great center.

No if he would've taken more than 3 shots, I would've said he was doing the right thing....it's possible to take more than 3 shots and not be a ball hog (as I'm sure you know)...Donyell Marshall is a 3 point shooter for the most part, he's a role player off the bench, not a allstar caliber player...and you want to talk about consistency, I don't recall anyone (not name Lebron) playing consistently throughout the postseason for the cavs.....and I'll have to disagree with you and say that Lebron is better on the offensive side of the ball, Kobe has the better jumpshot, but that's it....they both can get to the basket, but Bron does a better job of orchestrating the offense and finding the open man....Kobe is the better defender out of the two, but his defense isn't great enough for me to take him over Lebron.
