Hot rumour at the moment is that Nate is LeBron's top choice to replace Paul Silas in Cleveland.

Alternatively, this could be our big shot of landing him when he comes out of contract in a few seasons' time [IMG]

We can send Nate in as the inside man, plant a few ideas in LeBron's head, and BAM!

    Somebody shot me.

Yeah I think Lebron would really like the close knit family type atmosphere here in Seattle.

I'd ship Rashard and Vlad for him so he can experience it [IMG]

Don't you think he'd want Phil Jackson a little bit more?

He will get a lot of consideration for coach of the year, and I just cannot see the Sonics letting him leave the team after the coaching job he's done this season.

Its not like it is their choice, his contract is up. If he wants the Cleveland job (and with the oppertunity to coach LBJ who wouldnt?) he will go.

I dunno, the owner seems like a goof and coaching Lebron, who'll be the best player in the league very soon, seems like it'd be a coach-killer (not Lebron's fault, that's just the way it is)

Funny thing is, today's paper had the same story with the scenario of Nate going to Cleveland along with Ray, with whom he has a close relationship. And Rashard chimed in with 'if that happens I'd have to think about where I want to play' since he has a player option (next?) year.

Wouldn't THAT leave us in a shambles.

Rashard can opt out at the end of 2006/07, I believe.

I read that article too, but as long as we offer Nate a fair deal, which we will, he'll stay. He doesn't strike me as the sort to let money alone decide where he plays, and while coaching LeBron would be attractive, I think coaching Nick, Luke and Rashard (plus whoever else comes back/is added) and building on this season's success will keep him here.

    He is Mr Sonic afterall.
