This came to my mind, when I was looking around the All-Star voting. Why is LeBron listed as a guard and not as a forward? As far as I know, the people who make this, present their list before the season, but it was widely known he would play forward, especially after the arrival of Eric Snow. Somebody can explain me why this is? I was thinking about it because LeBron would've had a smaller chance with all the votes to Hill and Carter, than he has now.
James is very versatile. I think they probably listed him at his natural SG position. Or maybe what he played last year. I just think listing him at Forward increases his chances because all of these East guards are pretty good. James will probably make the All-Star team at any rate.

But it made me wonder. Though I don't agree James is a natural SG(6-8, 245=> that's bigger than Jordan, the prototype in my eyes) or a natural guard for that matter, they probably listed him because of what position he played last year.
The list is made before the season, and Lebron played guar dlast year. They also considered Cato a power forward which is why he was not lsited in the ballot.
Yea Pure Skillz is right. if thats the case, why is Vince Carter listed as a foward, when he plays guard mostly? the ballot is drawn up usually before the season
Yea, but that's my point. They KNEW LeBron would be a forward. Rather strange, but anyway, thanks for your help.

It makes no difference what they know they have to make the list before the season starts based on the position that the player played the most last season.
Bosh is listed as a Center for crying out loud. He did play it last year, but i'd say he played as much PF but its all good. he'll have plenty of future allstar games in the future to look forward too
He plays a little bit of everywhere. He was a guard last year, so they must have made thelist before the change to SF was made. And he's does a good job playing forward too...
