Lebron Or Kobe Who is a better player between those two right now?
My pick right now would be clearely lebron james no question about it.
Kobe has to prove and can prove he can still do it without shaq next year.
we have to wait and see, Now pick yours:

Cant believe the things you are saying. Who does Kobe have??? Lamar Odom, who isnt living up to his expectations this year.
And who does LeBron have? Illgauskas? Gooden?.

It's close. LeBron is a far better passer, but Kobe is a far better defender.

I will go for a tie (while the cavs fan in me says it's clearly LBJ)

Caron Butler isn't too bad, but they both have at best decent supporting casts, don't know what you're getting at. Kobe is still better than Lebron, so is Tmac. Kobe is a much better defender, and right there offensively.

Right now I'd take Kobe, he is more mature and can do everything LeBron can do. It's just that LeBron has a better ability to set up his teammates then Kobe does, and like others have said Kobe is a better defender. In a couple of years Bron will be better then Kobe though.

No, it's more like LeBron is more mature and can do everything Kobe can do.

i think i would take Lebron right now, satisticaly, kobe is having a good year but Lebron is better in states, and this is his second year, and having a MVP year.

    Lbj

LBJ, he is a worse defender but compensates for it by making his teammates better and being a better passer and rebounder.

Kobe can,and has played very good D,and passed well too,but it seems more than ever he is more focused on his scoring, playes tough D half the time, passes only if he has few options. T-mac and Lebron are both better players. Chucky is a better GM

I would take James.....talent and seems like a good guy.....Kobe has talent...but with his attitude he would not be worth it.....look how he ruined the Lakers......

    see

The way I see there is no way to take Kobe over LBJ. Yes, Kobe is a better defender but LBJ is a better scorer (.4 ppg less per game on many less shots) better rebounder and passer (he averages more than 1 apg and rpg more than kobe) Plus he makes his teammates better something kobe doesnt do.

I don't think there's a right or wrong answer, it's a matter of preference. It would appear LeBron would be easier to build a team around than Kobe. However, I think Kobe is a better game closer and has a stronger will to win than LeBron at this point in their careers.

I keep reading LeBron makes his teammates better, but how come the Cavs are slipping out of the playoffs. And when the Cavs are struggling his teammates get the blame? But for Kobe, when the Lakers do bad Kobe gets the blame?

If LeBron really makes his teammates better shouldn't the Cavs be in the playoffs in the weak East? Shouldn't they be much better than a .500 ball club if LeBron truely makes his team better?

Kobes defense is one of the best from the gaurds position in the nba with the bruce bowans and all.........but when we talk about who is better........think about it if lebron wasnt that good why would be asking this question lol........there is alot of worried kobe fans lol........kobe is a great great player but lebron is just the ultimate team mate that everyone would love to have on there team and he doesnt COMPLAIN! in a couple of years lebron will be a steller defender with his offense............in my opinion lebron is theonly player who can trully make all his team mates better along with iverson [IMG]

LeBron complains quite a bit actually. He complained about Silas being fired, he complained about McInnis being benched, and he's been complaining about the way the team is using him. If the Cavs don't sign Big Z he's going to complain about that as well.

There's nothing wrong with complaining, all the great players complain, some just more publicly than others. I'm just curious why LeBron is getting no heat when his team is struggling, but the media can't wait to rip Kobe for the Lakers pathetic season.

You don't think Steve Nash, Tim Duncan, Shaq O'neal, KG, and many of the other superstars in the league don't make their teammates better?

If LeBron is the ultimate teammate how come the Cavs are not better than a .500 team and struggling to make the playoffs? I think that's a fair question.

KOBE... Hes an amazing offensive and defensive player, hes more experienced and he is a little more mature than Lebron, even though James is only 20....

Kobe for sure. I'm gonna get beat by Cavs fans for saying this, but LeBron is overrated. He's overhyped. Everyone already calls him "King James" and "The Chosen One" and he hasn't even done anything THAT special yet. The only reason why he dropped 56 pts. against the Raps earlier this season is because they intended to. Their plan was to let LBJ score all the points and shut down the rest of them. There's even an article somewhere on it.

Plus Kobe is a way better dunker. [IMG]
