I think because he is scared that he will loose popularity and he won't be considered one of the best dunkers if he loose the dunk contest thats what i think he is scared of.
I actually think you may be onto something here. LeBron has nothing to gain by winning the dunk contest, as everyone expects him to win it, but he has everything to lose. As pathetic as it may sound, losing a dunk contest can do alot of bad for his status as the man to carry the NBA forward, or as the "ext Jordan," or whatever.
Wrong. He has already said that he doesn't do the kind of dunks you need to pull off in a dunk contest. If he was "scared" fans would find that out, why would he have even bothered to say it?
whats the point of this thread, if he doesnt wanna enter the dunk contest, he doesnt wanna do it, leave him alone get off his ****
lebron is not a dunk-contest-type dunker.. much like an amare or something.. he's a devastating in-game dunker and that's just all there is to it.. do u guys remember him winning the mcdickz all-american dunk contest? his dunks were nothing special other than the fact that his head appeared to be above the rim (which is pretty insane in itself).. all it looked like he did was just really high and slam the ball thru.. he only really won that contest because he's lebron and the 2nd place dude messed up his last dunk.. let's just be happy that we get to see lebron tomahawk on foolz IN games..
