Sometime in the near future, he might be coming to a silver screen near you. According to James' agent, Aaron Goodwin, the Cavaliers rookie is developing a movie with famed director Spike Lee. No timetable has been established for shooting the film, but the parties are trying to get it together by this summer. ``We're still in the planning stages,'' Goodwin said. ``We don't have a script yet. We have a production team in place. Spike has been interested for months now, and LeBron is excited about the project.''</div> Full Story LeBron James and Spike Lee
I knew he was going to make movies one day. LeBron is just too big of a star to just play Basketball. People want to see him constantly. People wait for each Cavs games to see him. This is a smart move from Spike to put this kid on a film and milk more cheese out of these fans.
It would be cool to see some Spike Lee/James commercials. Just like the Spike/MJ commercials back in the day. Would be sweet.
With all the composure he has I think he can become a very good actor here... potentially a much better Jesus Shuttlesworth. He Got Game was sweet but let's hope this movie turns out sweeter.
I think this kind of thing is a bad idea early in his career when he should be fine-tuning his game. I hope he doesn't follow the Darius Miles acting/training regimen.
Ha, Miles never had the right training to begin with. LeBron's drive is elite, he would not let that happen to himself.
I can't see him or any other basketball player as a good actor (Rick fox aside but thats pushing it bigtime). Its just not right. He has blown everyones expectations on the ball court so maybe he could step it up on the big screen.
I'd like to see him do something more like Shaq in Kazaam. Solid plot, great character development, phenemenal acting. I see this as Lebron's first step. No doubt a rap album is just around the corner. I can only hope.

That would be interesting. If LJ does make a rap album, you KNOW it's gonna be as a Roc A Fella artist. He and Jay Z are tight.

The question is, now that he has a movie deal in place, where's the LeBron video game? Imagine Metal Gear Solid and NBA Jam rolled up into one. LeBron James, basketball player during the game, super spy after the game. Need to stop genetically engineered Afghanis from taking over the world? Not a problem, they're just a blip on the radar for agent 23.
Everything the kid touches turns to gold, so he might as well keep venturing into new areas. Spike is a good film maker so maybe it'll turn out to be better than the crap we've come to expect from NBA stars in movie (though I did like Blue Chips. Shaq and Penny at the pinnacle of their acting careers).
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting thajuiceman:</div><div class="quote_post">Best Basketball movie ever.................Hoosiers.</div> What is this? The Cavs Lounge? Anyway, I missed out on the bobblehead, I won't miss out on anything else, that for damn sure. Kid is pure gold. Last I hear though, James would play a college basketball star in this movie.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting thajuiceman:</div><div class="quote_post">Best Basketball movie ever.................Hoosiers.</div> No, its Teen Wolf.
This guy is so big for basketball, in so many different ways so it was inevitable this would happen. I cant see any real problem with it either, just hope the movie is half decent.
