I know we've already had this thread, but I decided to make a new one with no ideas and thoughts. It should be more interesting because of what Lebron is doing in the playoffs.Anyway, debate. :aggressive:
Is this even a question?Lebron is the best player in the league, better than kobe and Duncan. Kobe bryant is a choke job who airballed a chance to win the series in game 6. He disappeared in game 7, only taking 3 shots in the 2nd half of game 7. That's not something lebron would do. Lebron is the better scorer, defender, passer and is more clutch.edit: This comparision is ridiculous at the moment because people have short memories and are obviously going to say lebron. You can make a tmac vs wade comparision now and people will pick wade.
Lebron the better defender? What? Lebron hardly puts any effort into defense. Kobe made the All defense 1st team.
No,no, no. You fail to see. Lebron is so great, he doesn't need to play defense. He scares people and they miss [arenas].
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (grizz101 @ May 19 2006, 09:45 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Kobe would kill Lebron in one on one.....</div>No, it'd be a wash. Lebron would post kobe up and outmuscle kobe. Kobe would make lebron look like a joke also.It depends on who starts with the ball edit: And i'm not being sarcastic. Lebron doesn't need to play D, he scares players. Isn't that considered good d?
What? Putting fear into you're opponent is defense . Indirect defense.and what's wrong with my analysis on the one on one match up? I doubt either one could guard eachother [kobe would do the better job].I'd say kobe wins by 2, 13-11.
Kobe is still the better player. Raja Bell is a better defender for Kobe as opposed to Prince and Jefferies on Lebron. There should be no reason why Lebron doesnt explode for 30 every night on those guys. But the Cavs are winning, and thats what matters the most right now.Kobe will always be the better player until Lebron plays defense. Gotta be a 2-way player to be the best baller in the NBA.
Are you kidding? It should be easy to score on the Pistons? wtf are you talking about. Everywhere he goes on the court, he will be guarded by a good defender. The whole Pistons team are great at defense. It is kind of hard to score inside with Ben Wallace in there. And hard to score on the wing with Tayshaun and Rasheed Wallace checking him up. He has actuallly been doing a pretty solid job against the Pistons' D.
Melo, just stop, please. Kobe is better right now. Better D, proven clutch, better shooter.. Lebron has many things going for him but until he learns how to really play defence instead of "scaring" players, he wont be better... yet

They ranked 15th in the NBA in opponents FG% this year, which is odd for that group.
Lebron will learn to play defense, Coach Brown will obviously stress that during the off-season. He is only 21. Most 21 year olds also suck at defense. It will get better, just watch. I still think he is better than Kobe. More dominant scorer, yes. Better attacker, better rebounder, better leader, better passer, better inside game. Kobe is the better shooter and defender. But like Wade, Lebron doesnt need to have his shot going for him to score points. And besides, his jumper definately improved this year, it will improve even more by next season. Look at MJ. He was a bad shooter early on.
