According to a source, the Knicks are making plans to host an elaborate meal and meeting with LeBron James in a high-end location in Manhattan during the afternoon and evening of July 1, which is next Thursday.

The Knicks are currently scouring the city for an available high-rise condo or apartment with a great view to rent for the event, the source said.

This is soooooo elaborate! NY has great history and can afford him but he will not suit up as a Knick for 2011. This team cannot be a contender overnight with the roster they have. I think the key teams that have a shot at him are Cleveland, Miami and Los Angeles Clippers. Everyone else can't afford to spend the money and he can make an immediate impact with the 3 teams I've listed.

I would definitely not rank the Clippers over the Bulls. Chicago is also looking better than Miami.

We won't know until July 8 so he's just killing time.

If they land LeBron and Wade/Bosh they will arguably be a contender.

I'm heavily anxious for tomorrow, July 1, to come so we can get rolling with real free agent moves.

I've narrowed it down to Los Angeles Clippers and Miami Heat. Lebron and Wade team up in Miami and keep Udonis Haslem and get key role players and they are a contender. If Lebron chooses the Clippers he will be the show and have fun but won't get past Kobe and the Lakers.

I'm not a Bosh-hater but he just doesn't show enough to be considered a top free agent. He can score but lacks on defense.

Again, how do you come to this conclusion? The Clippers aren't even one of the top teams in contention from everything I've read. Bosh doesn't think the Heat thing will happen.

How can a Wade/James combo contend in Miami but a Wade/James combo can't contend in NY? The Knicks roster is at least as good as the Heat roster without Wade.
