The Jaguars (11-4) are 3-1 with Garrard as the starter this season."I will determine who is going to play and who is going to play how much, those types of decisions," Del Rio said. "I'm going to watch, look, evaluate, determine and I'm going to do what I think is in the best interest of this organization, this football team and make sure I give our team a chance to be as successful as possible."Leftwich broke a bone in his left ankle Nov. 27 at Arizona. He got off crutches about 10 days ago and ran and threw for the first time since the injury Friday. His return creates a difficult dilemma for Del Rio. Does the coach hold Leftwich out for another week and get him closer to full speed or does he get him into the meaningless game for some needed repetitions and risk further injury?"I will look at all of that," Del Rio said. "We'll have a plan as the week unfolds. We'll work through that, exactly how we want to play, who we want to play, how much we want to play and be able to go out there and do the best we can Sunday and be ready to work the next weekend."The Jaguars clinched their first postseason berth since 1999 and secured the No. 5 seed in the playoffs. They will play at either New England or Cincinnati the weekend of Jan. 7-8.Del Rio also declined to name Leftwich the starter for the playoffs, creating speculation that the Jaguars have a quarterback controversy."I think it's a great situation to be in," Del Rio said. "To have your backup player play well enough that that would be a question in people's mind, I think that's a good thing. It means a backup player came in and helped you win, which is a good thing."http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2272433
Leftwich isn't exactly "back". He may not play or start vs the Titans. I hop he plays atleast half the game otherwise he'll be rusty for Rd 1 vs Bengals/Patriots.
