The Texas Legends used a dominating final three quarters to defeat the Maine Red Claws 116-102 on Friday night in front of a record attendance of 4,301 at HP Court inside Dr Pepper Arena.

The Legends and Red Claws played evenly through the first quarter, with Maine on top by just four going into the second. However, Texas blew the game open by outscoring Maine 65-38 in the second and third quarter combined to take a commanding 24-point lead, 95-71, heading into the final period.

Four Legends players went into halftime already with double-digits, including Joe Alexander (15), Sean Williams (14), Justin Dentmon (11) and Antonio Daniels (10).

The Legends dropped in a season-high 15 3-pointers on the night, including seven from Dentmon.

In his first game back with the Legends after missing 12 games due to injury, the veteran guard Daniels made his presence felt. He came just two assists shy of a triple-double with 16 points, 10 boards and eight assists.

Alexander also finished the game two assists shy of his first triple-double, as he had 23 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists. Dentmon added a team-high 27 points.

DeShawn Sims led the way for Maine, scoring 31 points. After being assigned to Maine from the Boston Celtics last week, Avery Bradley contributed 20 points.

The Legends head on the road tomorrow night as they take on the Western Conference leading Tulsa 66ers. The game will tip-off at 7:00 p.m., as this will be already the fifth meeting between the rivals this season, but the first in Tulsa.

Great tickets for all Legends home games are still available by calling (214) 469-0822 or emailing the team at info@TexLegends.com.
