Jens Lehmann, has produced some amazing saves in the last few seasons, but Arsenal really need to replace him.

Though he is terrific shot-stopper, he is completely ineffectual in dealing with crosses from corner-kicks and free-kicks...

His problem is mental not physical.. He seems to feel that he must have his own personal space in the penalty box. The moment an opponent gets within a foot of his 'space', he zeros in on him , and forgets about the 'big picture'...

Consequently he never is well-prepared to deal with crosses into the box, from free-kicks and corners. His positioning for the Alex header, against PSV, was absolutely amateurish.

With this sort of inconsistency behind them, it is not surprising that the Arsenal back four, are so poor on defending corners.

I don't think Almunia is dominant either. I think Arsenal need a new keeper.. Any ideas on who would fit the bill...

A new keeper (and a goal-scorer), is all that is needed for Arsenal to be up with Chelsea (Cech) and Man U. (Van de Saar)

Really dont think the keeper is the problem with us. Consider Lehmann was our keeper when we went 49 games unbeaten, and if anything he has improved since then. We need genuine width. there lies our problem

To be honest, I think Pires should've stayed. I thought he was a quality player for Arsenal due to their style of play, and Viera, well .... enough said really. You probably made the biggest mistake selling him.

We need a bit of fire on our team. Lehman and Fabregas are our two aggresive players. Every team has them.

I think Lehmann should be deported in a big bolted steel box with a slit in it so they can feed the guy is mental.
